Dean Bourne started performing at the ripe old age of 10 and by the time he had reached 15, he had conquered the local club, pub and restaurant circuits. Even at this early age, it was evident that Dean had a special gift, not only for playing the guitar but for his extraordinary vocal ability.
In 1997, Dean auditioned for 'Follow that Dream' - a showcase of look-a-likes and sound-a-likes. He overwhelmingly won both the audience and judges Grand Final. Dean's success was noticed by the producers of 'Idolz in Concert', who immediately signed Dean to appear as the popular 'Roy Orbison' in their show.
In the later part of the year 2000, Dean ventured into his own fully produced tribute show to Roy Orbison in 'ORBISON THE TRIBUTE'. The show received rave reviews from the harshest critics and his popularity could be gauged by the fact that he filled every auditorium in which he performed with the venues immediately rebooking the show in the earliest possible time.
2009 was an exciting and successful year with 'THE DREAM TOUR' a tribute to the Prince of Pop and the Prince of Rock - Cliff & The Shadows & The Big O - Roy Orbison starring Australian Music Legend Marty Rhone as Cliff. This show toured Australian mainland theatres including Crown Casino Melbourne & Perth, State Theatre Sydney and Her Majesty's Theatre Adelaide.

Early 2010 saw the launch of a brand new show 'ROY ORBISON REBORN',with many more of Roy's biggest hits introduced to accepting audiences.
Dean continued entertaining audiences at sell out venues throughout 2010 and again in 2011 with his ‘ROY ORBISON REBORN, 75TH Anniversary Tour’. This 2 hour show was a Roy Orbison experience which received overwhelming reviews.

With the cream of Australian musicians and backing vocalists, Dean takes his audience on a whirlwind journey back through recording history. In 2012, 2013 & 2014 Dean performed in all major clubs & theatres throughout Australia and NZ in his own Roy Orbison Tribute show and in a variety of combo shows such as 'Roy Orbison & Johnny Cash' and 'Roy Orbison & Del Shannon'.
Dean continued touring Australia only this time with special guests 'The Robertson Brothers' performing as 'The Everly Brothers'. The show 'Roy Orbison & The Everly Brothers', was an unprecedented success with National 'SOLD OUT' tours in 2015 & 2016.
In 2017, Dean celebrated his 20th year Anniversary performing and paying the ultimate and authentic tribute to Roy Orbison, The Big O with 'ROY ORBISON REBORN' along with a special tribute to the 'Traveling Wilburys' and with 5 special 'ROY ORBISON ORCHESTRATED' shows. With a 35 peice 'Australian Symphony Orchestra' conducted by 'George Ellis' venues included Hamer Hall Melbourne, QPAC Brisbane, State Theatre Sydney, Crown Theatre Perth, The Star Gold Coast (formerly Jupiter's Casino).
Dean took his show 'ROY ORBISON REBORN' abroad to IRELAND in January 2018 performing 4 big shows in Vicar Street Dublin, Cork Opera House Cork, UCH Limerick & Black Box Theatre Galway to 'SOLD OUT' audiences. Upon Dean's return from Ireland, he went straight into another production of 'The Men in Black', a tribute to Roy Orbison & Johnny Cash. In August 2018, Dean took his ''ROY ORBISON REBORN' show back to New Zealand's, AucklandTown Hall, before returning to Australia for his 'ROY ORBISON ORCHESTRATED II' shows with the 'Australian Symphony Orchestra' in Australia's 5 most prestigious venues Hamer Hall Melbourne, State Theatre, Sydney, The Star Gold Coast, QPAC Brisbane & Perth Concert Hall.
In late January 2019, Dean returned to Ireland for 6 'SOLD OUT' shows which included Ulster Hall Belfast, University Concert Hall Limerick, Cork Opera House Cork, T.L.T. Drogheda, National Opera House Wexford & Olympia Theatre Dublin.
Dean is well sought after in the corporate world and on luxury cruise ships having played the waters of New Zealand and the South Pacific on numerous occasions.
Over the years, Dean has given his time to support & perform for many different charities. In 2018 Dean hosted his own Charity Golf Day in memory of his mate Australian golfing legend Jarrod Lyle to help raise funds for Jarrod's young family.
